Dr. Dong Zhang is an associate professor and the Director of the Center for Cancer Research at the College of Osteopathic Medicine, New York Institute of Technology. Dong teaches medical biochemistry and specializes in cancer biology, cell biology, and molecular biology. The research in Dong'a lab focuses on DNA damage response, DNA repair, centrosome biogenesis and cancer therapeutics. Dong received his PhD degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Brandeis University. He was mentored by the Nobel Laureate, Dr. Michael Rosbash. Dong did his postdoctoral training at Baylor College of Medicine and Harvard Medical School with Dr. Stephen Elledge.
