His main research interests include crystal growth and characterization of oxide crystals for optical applications, effects related to ferroelectricity, laser crystals, nonlinear optics, photorefractive effects, applications of laser-based devices, substrate materials, and novel piezoelectric crystals. His research work is documented in more than 170 publications and 25 patents.
