Bio
Michael Baron Dr. Baron is Professor of Statistics at the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas. His research areas include sequential analysis, change-point problems, Bayesian inference, and applications of Statistics in semiconductor manufacturing, clinical trials, epidemiology, and energy finance. In 2003–04, he joined the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center as an Academic Visitor. M. Baron has a University Diploma in Mathematics from St. Petersburg State University, Russia (1992) and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Maryland (1995). In his turn, he graduated four doctoral students and is working on the fifth one.
