Bio
D. Kurt Gaskill received the Ph.D. degree in experimental condensed matter physics from Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR, USA, in 1984. He is a Senior Scientist with the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. He became a National Research Council Post-Doctoral Fellow at NRL. Upon becoming a Staff Member in 1987, he conducted research in epitaxial growth, in situ characterization of growth, and electrical and spectroscopic characterization of various III-V semiconductors. For the last few years, he has led research efforts on SiC and epitaxial graphene.
