Bio
Daniel Choi received the B.S. degree from Seoul National University, South Korea, in 1988, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from UCLA, USA, in 2000.
He was a Staff Member with the Aerospace Corporation and a Task Manager with JPL/NASA, USA, leading a number of space-related projects including Mars Missions, such as Phoenix. He was the Director of the Materials Engineering Program with the University of Idaho, USA. He is currently founding the Department Head of the Mechanical and Materials Engineering and founding Space Program Management with the Khalifa University of Science and Technology, UAE. His research focuses on energy storage devices and inertial sensors for space applications.
