Bio
My research is focused on understanding the evolution of Earth’s climate system through geochemical and numerical analysis of the geological record. I have made specific contributions to knowledge of ancient rapid climate change events and our understanding of how climate signals are preserved in rocks
The early Toarcian OAE (~182 Ma) was associated with marked seawater deoxygenation and climate warming linked to large-scale carbon release. Our work aims to better understand both the short- and long-term Earth system responses to this event.
