Bio
Dulce Oliveira graduated in Marine Biology and Biotechnology from the Instituto Politécnico de Leiria, PT, (2006), has a post-graduation in Quality Management and Food Safety from Lusófona University, PT, (2009), a MSc in Marine Sciences from Lisbon University, PT, (2012) and a PhD in Marine Sedimentology and Paleoclimate from Bordeaux University, FR, (May 2017). After PhD defense in May 2017, she was award a short-term post-doc position (Nov-Dec 2017) at Bordeaux University, followed by a research post-doc grant in the framework of the FCT exploratory project ULTImATum (IF/01489/2015) at IPMA (PT). In May 2019 started an FCT young researcher contract (500 selected from 4600 applicants - CEECIND/02208/2017) with CCMAR (PT).
Her main research interest focus on the detection and characterization of vegetation and climate changes in the North Atlantic region (Iberian and French margins and eastern North America coast) and NE India (Mahanadi Basin, Bay of Bengal) during past warm periods using vegetation records from Quaternary marine archives.
Areas of expertise: Marine palynology; Palaeoecology; Quaternary palaeoclimatology; European, North American and NE Indian vegetation history; Orbital and millennial-scale climate variability.
