Bio
Custódio Peixeiro (S’87–M’94) was born in Évora, Portugal, in 1956. He received the Licenciado, Masters, and Ph.D degrees from Instituto Superior Técnico, Technical University of Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal, in 1980, 1985 and 1993, respectively.
He has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Technical University of Lisbon, since 1993. He has also been a Researcher with Instituto de Telecomunicações since its foundation in 1995. His teaching and research interests are in the antennas and propagation area. Currently, his research interests include the analysis, design, fabrication, and test of printed antennas and circuits. He has participated actively in many European research projects and networks of excellence (MBS, FLOWS, ACE, NEWCOM, EARTH), educational projects (ALFA, TEMPUS), and in national research projects. He has also been actively involved as Portuguese National Delegate in several antenna COST actions. He has coauthored several book chapters and more than 100 papers published in international journals and conference proceedings.
