Bio
Graduated in Materials Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos (1998), master's (2000) and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos (2004). Performed the Doctor Sandwiches for 6 months at the University of Florida (UF), FL - USA (2003) and 1 year Post-Doctorate (2005) in Titanium Alloys Betas at the State University of Campinas (Dema / FEM / UNICAMP). Currently is bound as Associate Professor (DE) Department of Materials Engineering (DEMa) by Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) since July 2010 Fellow Research Productivity 2 CNPq oriented students of Masters and Doctoral as Professor permanent registered in UFSCar, CAPES program note 7 in five consecutive evaluations (PPG-CEM) Graduate program in Materials Science and Engineering. Served as Materials Engineer at the Laboratory of Electron Microscopy (LME) of the former National Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS), current National Nanotechnology Laboratory (LNNano / CNPEM). Participating in research projects TMEC / Petrobras deployment of physical simulation (Gleeble machine) network and welding pin with friction (friction stir welding - FSW) at the National Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM). Served as Coordinator of graduation (Engineering and Technologists) and Postgraduate in Engineering from Universidade São Marcos (USM) Paulinia - SP. Also served since February 2010 as Professor of the Specialization Course in Metallurgical Processes, and as a Research Program of Graduate Biomedical Engineering, University Mogi das Cruzes (UMC). Reviewer of journals Metallurgical and Materials Transactions A, Acta Biomaterialia, intermetallics (Bristol), Materials Science and Engineering A and Scripta Materialia (Oxford). Has experience in the area of Materials Engineering and Metallurgy, with emphasis on Quick Solidification of Metals and Alloys; For conformation Spray, acting on the following topics: amorphous phase, multicomponent metal alloys based on Fe and Al, overspray powder; Betas of Ti alloys for applications as biomaterials; Microalloyed steels for applications in oil and gas pipelines, microstructural characterization, and consulting services for companies in materials characterization and failure analysis, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) Conventional and High Resolution (HRTEM) and Transmission Electron Microscopy by scanning (STEM); X-ray microanalysis (EDS); Electron backscattered diffraction (EBSD); Sample Preparation for Metallography and Electron Microscopy; Image Analysis and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). Currently has projects of existing research funding agencies CNPq, CAPES and FAPESP.
