Bio
Claire M. Watts (Member, IEEE) received the B.A.S. degree in physics from Colgate University, Hamilton, NY, USA, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree in physics from Boston College, Chestnut Hill, MA, USA, in 2015.
From June 2015 to August 2020, she was with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA, working as a Research Scientist in the area of microwave and millimeter-wave imaging with metasurfaces. She is a Co-Founder of the millimeter-wave imaging firm ThruWave Inc., Seattle, and an Affiliate Assistant Professor with the University of Washington. Her research interests include metasurfaces, imaging across the electromagnetic spectrum from microwave to infrared frequencies, and novel imaging techniques.
