Research Interest
There are two major aims in our research program:
1) to employ an integrative genomics approach to analyze carefully phenotyped clinical samples for biomarker discovery and molecular diagnostics development;
2) to understand the underlying mechanism for epigenetic regulation in early development.
We focus primarily on two areas of research:
1) non-invasive prenatal diagnosis and pregnancy monitoring using nucleic acids from maternal plasma;
2) in utero biomarker discovery for obesity and diabetes;
3) Microbiota development and its association with early childhood development.
