个人简介
LTC Watts, birthplace is Fort Knox, KY. He enlisted into the U.S. Army Signal Corps in 1981. He was commissioned into the U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery in 1983, through ROTC/SMP/ECP program at Clemson University, Clemson, SC. He graduated from Baptist College at Charleston, Charleston, SC in 1985, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Management from Clemson University, Clemson, SC. His military education includes completion of the U. S. Army Air Defense Officer’s Basic and Advanced Courses, Combined Arms Staff Services School, Command and General Staff College, Basic and Advanced Defense Acquisition Contracts Courses. He is Level III Certified in Contracting, Level II Certified in Program Management, and a member of the Army Acquisition Corps.
Upon retirement from the U.S. Army, LTC Watts worked as a Defense Contractor and spent 2.5 years in the Middle East working for the U.S. Army.
During LTC Watts’ military career he held a variety of important command and staff positions. His final assignment in the U.S Army was as the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology (ASAALT) Liaison to the Middle East; Oct 2004 – Feb 2006. He is married to the former Patricia Jane Baker, LTC Watts has two Children Jennifer Erin Spearman and Kristin Sue Watts, and two Step Children, Leah Dawn Hartman and Taylor James Baker.
