Christos D. Maravelias currently works at the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (MARE), European Commission. Christos elaborates and contributes toward the definition of EU policies concerning fisheries and environment-related issues; drafts global plans, including a description of EU strategy; analyses, follows-up and gives updates on the conservation of fish stocks, management of fisheries and related science; gives advice to other services; carries out, analyses and evaluates results of studies and research projects provided by involved parties and/or other DGs; organises and maintains relations, co-ordination and contacts with the other EU Institutions.
