Warm Dense Matter. This work explores the properties of extreme states of matter. It combines a quantum theory of electrons (density functional theory) and classical theory of ions to simulate the behavior of WDM. My main interest is the study of mixtures and how multiple types of ions alter the system's properties. This work also covers the study of molecular fluids and their interesting properties.
Many body theory of dipolar systems. This work explores the collective behavior of ultracold dipolar systems. Primarily, I am seeking to understand how the anisotropic interactions alter the collective behavior. Quantum theory of atomic and molecular scattering. This work studies the interaction of ultracold atoms and molecules. It has shown how to control their interactions with external magnetic and electric fields. Such theories are essential to the experimental and theoretical progress.
