Christopher R. Henry

Dr. Christopher Henry grew up in Minnetonka, Minnesota and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wheaton College with a degree in Chemistry. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and was awarded the Armand J. Quick Award for excellence in biochemistry and research. Dr. Henry went on to complete an ophthalmology residency, vitreoretinal surgery fellowship, and uveitis fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami, the top-rated ophthalmology program in the United States. During his time at Bascom Palmer, Dr. Henry received a Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Fellowship Award and also served as a clinical instructor, chief resident, and co-director of ocular trauma. Dr. Henry has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles, scientific abstracts, and book chapters. His clinical and research interests include diabetic retinopathy, ocular immunology, ocular infections, macular degeneration, retinal surgery, retinal vascular disorders, and uveitis. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, the Christian Ophthalmology Society, the Society of Heed Fellows, and the Vit-Buckle Society. Dr. Henry is fluent in Spanish and enjoys endurance sports, travel, and spending time with his family.
