Bio
My ultimate goal is to use basic science to develop next-generation therapies for kids with neuromuscular disease, while targeting molecular pathways that broadly impact human health. Currently, I am developing next-generation steroids that produce the efficacy of prednisone without its harsh side effects; in this way I can also help people with asthma, arthritis, MS, IBD, and an array of other conditions. I recently obtained an NIH K99/R00 grant to start my own lab devoted to this research.
