Bio
Christopher Hovey is a Computer Science Education research scientist for the National Center for Women & Information (NCWIT) and the Department of Information Science at the University of Colorado Boulder. Chris's research focuses on identifying barriers and solutions for broadening participation in undergraduate and graduate computing education, including identifying evidence-based methods for increasing faculty and departmental adoption of student-centered teaching and mentoring practices. Chris has also worked as a project manager, participant liaison, resource developer, and data scientist for NCWIT's Extension Services for Undergraduate Programs (ES-UP) and Graduate Programs (ES-Grad).
