Chris Karp leads the team whose mission is to catalyze innovation for the discovery and translation of transformative solutions to global health and development inequity.

An immunologist, infectious diseases specialist, and internist, Chris joined the foundation in 2012 as deputy director, Vaccines & Host-Pathogen Biology on the Global Health Discovery & Translational Sciences team. His academic scientific career focused on defining the mechanisms underlying the regulation and dysregulation of inflammatory responses in infectious, allergic and genetic diseases, with a focus on diseases of children.
