个人简介
Christopher Dreyer is a professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines, and is a founding member of the Center for Space Resources, the world's first and only graduate program in space resources. His areas of interest include space exploration, combustion science, energy conversion systems, and environmental sensing. He received his BS degree from Drexel University and MS and PhD from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Dr. Dreyer's research emphasis is the application of optical diagnostics for the study of challenging environments, especially extraterrestrial environments. Recent research projects include laser spectroscopy techniques for use in space exploration, laser diagnostics used to measure flame radicals and stable species, and a device for making rock thin sections for NASA. He is currently partnering with Masten Space Systems, Trans Astronautical Corporation, and Lunar Outpost Inc. on a lunar sample return mission, asteroid optical mining, and lunar rover technology, respectively.
