个人简介
Prof Christiane Dolecek is a senior clinical scientist and global health researcher. She has been undertaking research on infectious diseases for more than 25 years. Her work focusses on drug-resistant infections, and antibiotic use and consumption.
She is one of the founding members of the GRAM (Global Burden of Disease - Antimicrobial resistance) project, a collaboration between the University of Oxford and the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington. The aim of the GRAM project is to measure and map the global burden of disease attributable to bacterial antimicrobial resistance (AMR). During GRAM-1, Christiane led a small team at Tropical Medicine. In GRAM-2 Christiane serves as the co-director of the MICROBE group and co-lead and co-PI of the GRAM project Oxford.
She is involved and active in several international consortia, including STRATAA, ACT-South Asia, COVID-19 and AMR, and is the Oxford PI of the Code-ICI project. Christiane is committed to mentoring and capacity building.
She has been an external adviser to the World Health Organization Global Antimicrobial Resistance and Use Surveillance System (WHO GLASS) and co-Chair of the Global Health Strategy Group on Antimicrobial Resistance, an interdisciplinary network of researchers working on AMR, part of the Oxford-Berlin partnership. She has co-authored more than 90 publications including contributions to the Lancet, Science, Nature Genetics, Lancet Infectious Diseases, PNAS, the PLOS journals and eLife.
