个人简介
My work focuses on how to reduce energy sector greenhouse gas emissions, taking a system-wide view and looking at the interactions between heat and power. I use environmental life cycle assessment (LCA), techno-economic assessment and stakeholder based energy scenarios to investigate net environmental and financial impacts of transitions to low carbon energy provision. I am currently working on the EPSRC MYSTORE project, assessing the environmental implications of different energy storage options. Prior to this I contributed consequential LCA approaches to assess the impact of high photovoltaics penetration in the UK and techno-economic assessment of buildings with rooftop PV for the WISE-PV (EPSRC) project. My PhD assessed the potential to use heat from nuclear reactors at potential new build sites in the UK. In 2013 I spent three months at the Institute for Global Environmental Studies (IGES) in Japan. Prior to academic research I was an energy market analyst working on supply chain analysis and market forecasts for oil, gas and renewables sectors.
