Chih-Yu Yang received the M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from National Yang-Ming University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 2002 and 2015, respectively. He is currently the Attending Nephrologist with Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Taipei, and the Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Medicine, National Yang-Ming University. His major research interests include clinical nephrology, dialysis medicine, and chronic kidney disease mineral and bone disorders. After advanced research study, as a Visiting Scholar with UC San Diego Dr. Shu Chien's Lab in 2014, he further extended his research work in the field of biorheology in order to emulate the in vivo environment. He aims to elucidate the biomechanical pathogenesis, to translate the basic scientific results to human studies, and to improve vascular and bone health in patients with kidney diseases.
