近年来,在热电材料研究领域承担了科技部重点研发计划项目、科技部中美重大国际合作项目专项、 “973”重点基础研究课题、 “863”高技术项目、国家自然科学基金重大国际合作项目、国家自然科学基金重点项目、国家自然科学基金项目等各类项目。发现了热电材料的能带结构收敛效应,发展了多尺度微结构协同调控热电材料电热输运的理论,发展并建立了多种热电材料超快速低成本规模化制备新技术,开发出系列高性能热电材料和高效微型热电器件,与合作者一起开发出三代太阳能热电-光电复合发电系统和千瓦级汽车尾气热电发电示范车。
