个人简介
My research concerns the role of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor in immunity and toxicology. I look at the barrier organs skin and gut, mostly doing mouse models. Our main recent findings establish a role for AhR in differentiation and homeostasis and function of skin cells - keratinocytes, Langerhans cells, DETC, melanocytes.
A recent addition to our interests is the microbiome under the influence of toxic substances. We study this in the gut primarily. With our research we aim to find new strategies for the development of preventive and therapeutic measures.
