Dr Charlotte Denniston is a Lecturer of Medical Education in the Department of Medical Education, Melbourne Medical School. Charlotte completed her Bachelor Physiotherapy (Hons) Degree at Monash University in 2008 and completed her PhD in health professions education at Monash University in 2018.
Her PhD explored teaching and learning communication skills in the health professions. Charlotte’s research interests include workplace learning and healthcare communication. Through both her teaching and research, Charlotte is interested in developing the professional practice of healthcare professionals through maximising how learners and educators engage within the workplace. Primarily a qualitative researcher, Charlotte’s skills are in narrative inquiry, reflexivity in medical education research and narrative and framework analysis methods. Charlotte is also interesting in exploring the patient’s voice in health professions education.
