个人简介
Adam is a groundwater modeller with twenty five years’ experience who has applied strong technical skills to a variety of water resources, dewatering and environmental impact projects. He has extensive knowledge of conceptual and applied groundwater modelling, demonstrated on a range of projects in the UK and abroad, from regional water resource studies to detailed site-specific investigations.
Working on a number of groundwater modelling projects for the UK Environment Agency, water companies, and mining companies, covering Chalk, Limestone and Sandstone aquifers, Adam has had a key involvement in the development of regional models of the London Basin, Lincolnshire Limestone, North Kent, Isle of Wight, Hertfordshire, Arun Valley / Hardham Basin, Vale of St Albans, Lower Mersey / North Merseyside, and Selby Sandstone aquifers. He has also worked on several major mine dewatering and water resources projects around the world, including projects in the following countries: Australia, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Chile, Columbia, Cuba, Finland, Ghana, Guinea, Indonesia, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Oman, Peru, Saudi Arabia, Sicily, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Vietnam and Zambia.
Adam has also explored the use of a number of different modelling packages for variable-density modelling, saline intrusion, heat flow, contaminant transport, variable saturation and parameter optimisation. He also has particular experience in developing modelling software, including the development of a package for modelling variable permeability with depth (VKD) in Chalk and Limestone aquifers. He has also developed successful techniques for simulating complex behaviour in Chalk aquifers, such as karstic and dual storage systems. Adam is also very familiar with the application of the most recent versions of the USGS groundwater modelling software: MODFLOW-USG and MODFLOW6.
