C Chandra Mohan

Dr. Chandra Mohan did his bachelor degree in the stream of Biotechnology and his masters in Food Technology. He conducted his doctoral research by combining the techniques of Biopolymers, Biotechnology, Food Packaging, Material Science, and Food Preservation. The title of his doctoral research is 'Development of Bioactive Edible Packaging films and expedition of its preservation and quorum quenching potentials'. He expertise in the areas of Biotechnology, Food Technology, Nanoparticles, Biopolymers, Food Processing, Packaging and Preservation Techniques. His Main Area of research is Developing Bio-Circle economy for Food/Agro industrial wastes. He worked extensively on natural polymer extractions, characterization, modifications and repurposing. Particularly he worked on repurposing of wastes rich in Starch, Cellulose, Lignin and Pectin etc., for development of food packaging materials, emulsions, and bio-products.
