Cedric Vaillant

Cedric Vaillant received the Ph.D. degree in statistical physics from the University Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, France. He spent two years at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), Lausanne, as an Assistant in the Laboratory for Computation and Visualization in Mathematics and Mechanics. He then moved to Paris where he obtained a postdoctorate position at the Laboratoire Statistique et Genome in the Francois Kepes group. His research interests are largely focused on multiscale, sequence-dependent statistical models of DNA and chromatin and their implications in the transcription's regulation.
