个人简介
Cecilia Arsene graduated in chemistry from the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, Romania. In 2001 she received a PhD degree (Doktors der Naturwissenchaften, Dr. rer. nat.) at the Bergischen Universität Gesamthochschule Wuppertal, Germany. Within 2005-2007 she performed postdoctoral research at the University of Crete, Greece. In 2014 she got the highest qualification level, habilitation, and from February 2015 she is full Professor in chemistry at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, Romania.
Dr. Cecilia Arsene is Professor in analytical chemistry (with its related fields, instrumental analysis, trace analysis, separation methods, chromatographic techniques, and atmospheric chemistry) education in the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” Univesity of Iasi, Romania, where she is also Director of the Doctoral School in Chemistry. Up to now she carried out different research projects at EU (Marie Curie Fellow within MEIF or MERG Actions with ICAARUS, ECITAMA projects, etc.) or national level (AI-FORECAST, EVOLUTION-AIR, etc.). According to SCOPUS she performs work in the subject area of: environmental science, earth and planetary sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology, toxicology and pharmaceutics, medicine, etc. Her main research interests focus mainly on the understanding of pollutants chemistry in various environmental compartments such as air, water, soil/sediments. Recently, her work was devoted to the investigation of various biochemical parameters in lung diseases (e.g., tuberculosis) or of the role played by various atmospheric pollutants on the human health (carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic risk of water-soluble heavy metals As and Cr(VI) from atmospheric particles in Romania). Knowing pesticide’s toxicity for the human health, Dr. Cecilia Arsene performs laboratory and field measurements for a better understanding of the dissipation kinetics of tebuconazole on apple trees since apple is one of the most popular fruit in the world.
Dr. Cecilia Arsene achievements are strongly based on experimental work both in the laboratory and in the field. State-of-the-art analytical chemistry methods were used/are in use by Dr. Cecilia Arsene to study gaseous or liquid chemical constituents in various matrices. For field work she uses advanced techniques to understand chemical processing and composition of tropospheric particles and rain in the complex interplay of all the compartments involved, especially for Iasi urban area, north-eastern Romania.
Up to now, she has published 52 research articles in international peer-reviewed journals and has contributed 19 articles in journals without peer review, has published 6 books and 3 monographs. From her 52 research articles she has more than 1200 citations and an h index of 16. Her experience would allow her to perform successfully in academic facilities carrying out research and teaching and national or international scientific organizations that assess aspects of compliance with international regulations, or that require experts in analytical or physical chemistry aspects of Atmospheric Chemistry.
