Bio
Cátia B. Silva is currently working as a Junior Researcher in the Psychology Research Center (CIPsi) of the University of Minho, collaborating in several research projects of the Research Group on Self-regulated Learning (GUIA), coordinated by Professor Pedro Rosário. She also collaborates as a clinical psychologist at the Psychology Association (APsi) of the School of Psychology. She concluded her Ph.D. in Applied Psychology in 2018 at the University of Minho with the thesis "Promoting Health Behaviours in Children and Adolescents: The efficacy of Text-Messaging Program", funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT), and with the supervision of Professor Doctor Paulo P. P. Machado and Professor Pedro Saint-Maurice. Her main research interests focus on childhood obesity, obesity prevention, health promotion in children and adolescents, as well as the development of intervention programs based on self-regulation learning, and on technological aided programs to promote behavioral change. In these areas, she published 16 journal articles and five book chapters (h-index Scopus: 8; Google Scholar: 9). She also co-supervises 1 Ph.D. thesis and 2 MSc dissertations.
