个人简介
Prof. Casavola’s research activity is concerned with mechanical characterization of materials (steel, aluminium alloy, titanium alloy, aluminium foam sandwich, composite materials, sintered materials, polymeric and biodegradable materials), fatigue and fracture of metallic materials, mechanical strength of welded structures, experimental stress analysis, residual stress measurements (HDM, X-ray, Barkhausen, ESPI), thermal and thermo-mechanical analysis of welding cycles, monitoring of electronic board and components by means of speckle interferometry.
Prof. Casavola coordinates the activities of Lab. of Mechanical Behavior of Materials, Lab. of Residual Stresses Measurements, Lab. of Experimental Stress Analysis, Lab. of Telemetry at Politecnico di Bari.
