Bio
Carolina dos Santos Vertis began her academic career in Brazil, attending two years of Chemistry course at Mackenzie Presbyterian University (2006-2008), conducted at the same university transfer to the School of Engineering, where she studied Materials Engineering, specializes in Polymers and Ceramic Materials . In 2010 she was awarded an exchange student at Mackenzie University to the University of Coimbra (POR). After 1 year of the mobility program shifted the course of Brazil to Portugal, ending the Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (1st cycle) at the University of Coimbra with final classification of 15 values. Specializes in Process, Environment and Energy area in the Master of Chemical Engineering (2nd Cycle) with final classification of 17 values. Has Master in Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Coimbra (2014). Is currently a researcher in Process Systems and Engineering at Chemical Process Engineering and Forest Products Research Centre (CIEPQPF). She has experience in Chemical Engineering, with emphasis in Processes and Systems Engineering, acting on the following topics: kinetic modeling, reaction mechanisms, reactive systems simulation, optimization and synthesis of chemical processes, linear and nonlinear reaction schemes, experimental data processing . The applications cover various issues such as mass flow analysis, identification of mechanisms, synthesis of reaction networks, optimized synthesis of reactors networks, environmental chemistry, production optimization, among others.
