Carlos Alberto Teixeira (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Santa Catarina State University (UDESC), Joinville, SC, Brazil, in 2000 and 2008, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from RMIT University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia, in 2014. He is with the School of Engineering, RMIT University. From 2000 to 2008, he was a Researcher with Whirlpool Corporation, Joinville, Brazil. He has coauthored over 50 conference and transaction papers, and three patents. His research interests include soft switching operation and control of dual active bridge bidirectional dc–dc converters, multilevel converters, stability of grid connected inverters, and microgrids.
