Bio
Carlos Abraham Soriano-Rangel (S'11) received the B.S.
degree in electronics and the M.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from the Madero City Institute of Technology,
Madero City, Mexico, in 2010 and 2012, respectively. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in the Department
of Electrical Engineering, University of Colorado Denver, Denver, CO, USA.
He was a Visiting Scholar with the Wisconsin Electric Machines and Power Electronics Consortium (WEMPEC) at the
University of Wisconsin–Madison, Madison, WI, USA, in the summer of 2014. His research interests include
dc–dc converters, modular converters, and HVdc transmission.
