Christian Wöhler

Christian Wöhler received the Diploma degree in physics from Würzburg University, Würzburg, Germany, in 1996, the Doctorate degree in computer science from Bonn University, Bonn, Germany, in 2000, and the Habilitation (Venia Legendi) degree in applied computer science from Bielefeld University, Bielefeld, Germany, in 2009. From 1997 to 1999, he was a Ph.D. student and from 2000 to 2010 as a Senior Research Scientist in the Environment Perception Department, Daimler Group Research and Advanced Engineering, Ulm. From 2005 to 2010, he was a Visiting Lecturer at the Faculty of Technology, Bielefeld University. Since 2010, he has been a Professor of image analysis at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Dortmund University of Technology. His scientific interests include computer vision, photogrammetry, remote sensing, and machine learning, with applications in real-world systems as well as in planetary science and exploration.
