Bio
Prof James Chim is a clinical hematologist and clinician scientist interested in clinical and basic studies of myeloma and lymphoma. Moreover, he is also interested in translational research on the impact of DNA methylation of tumor suppressor genes and microRNA in hematological cancers, & clinical & scientific studies of multiple myeloma. Currently, Prof Chim has published over 250 clinical and basic science papers in international, pee-reviewed journals including Blood, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Leukemia, etc.
Prof Chim is currently SH Ho Professor of Haematology & Oncology in the Department of Medicine, Queen Mary Hospital, University of Hong Kong. He is an Advisory Board Member of the International Myeloma Working Group (IMWG), Executive Council member of the Asia Myeloma Network, Advisor of the Nan Yang Academy of Science of Singapore, Founding member of the International Academy of Hematology, member of the Global Committee of Europena Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT), & Chairman of Education Program, Asia Pacific Hematology Consortium (APHCON). He is the Founding Chairman of the Hong Kong Society of Myeloma, and has been the Chairman of the Hong Kong Society of Haematology from 2004-2006. He is associate editor & editorial board member of multiple journals.
