Christiaan Perneel

Christiaan Perneel (christiaan.perneel@rma.ac.be) is the head of the Department of Mathematics and the Hyperspectral Unit of the Belgian Royal Military Academy, Brussels. His research covers pattern recognition, statistical-based analysis, advanced processing for target detection, and fusion-based machine learning. He coordinated several projects that addressed hyperspectral imaging (HSI) combined with other sensing capabilities for military applications. These include the HySAR project that assess hyperspectral imagery, the SAR project for tactical scenarios, and the C4-23 project that addresses HSI with various sensing capabilities for urban and harbor security.
