complex fluids. Self-assembly of soft materials and nano-structures. Processing polymers to create
functional materials and structures. Pattern formation in soft matter by novel application of external fields
such as chemical surface forces, magnetic fields and periodic pressure gradients. Scattering methods to
study structure and properties of soft matter. Rheological investigation of dynamics in complex fluids.
