Bio
Professor Cezar Negrão has pursued his first and MSc degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Federal University of Santa Catarina in 1987 and 1992, respectively, and obtained his PhD also in Mechanical Engineering from University of Strathclyde in 1995. He is now a full professor of the Academic Department of Mechanics at Federal University of Technology-Paraná (UTFPR). He teaches Heat Transfer and Air Conditioning and Refrigeration for undergraduate courses and Thermodynamics and Rheology and Rheometry for graduates courses in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Member of the Executive Committee of the Brazilian Society of Rheology. His main areas of interest are Rheology and Non-Newtonian Fluid Mechanics applied to Drilling Fluid Flows and Start-up of Gelled Oil. His studies combine both theoretical and experimental works.
