个人简介
Dr. Nyamasege is a Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Epidemiologist at the NH department of Health and Human Services, Maternal and Child Health Section. In this role, she provides timely data for evaluation of MCH programs and to inform quality improvement in real time. Carolyn is passionate about improving lives and promoting human dignity through collaborating in programs and using data for advocacy and quality improvement for better maternal and child health outcomes. She has a cumulative work experience of about 5 years in doing Maternal and Child health related research and teaching. She previously conducted research on public health issues, especially MCH among vulnerable populations in Nairobi’s urban informal settlements using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Her research mainly evaluated the effectiveness of strategies/interventions to improve maternal and child wellbeing. She has more than 10 peer-reviewed scientific publications on public health issues and presented over 20 abstracts in local and international conferences. She is a member of international technical/professional groups. Over time in her career path, she has had extensive experience in data collection and management, data analysis, reporting, scientific writing and communication to different audiences.
