Bio
Craig Hardgrove received is an Assistant Professor in the School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University. He is the Principal Investigator for the Lunar Polar Hydrogen Mapper (LunaH-Map) mission, as well as a Participating Scientist on the Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity rover mission as a member of the Dynamic Albedo of Neutrons instrument team. On Curiosity, Craig uses neutron, geochemical, and stratigraphic data to derive clay and hydrated mineral phase abundances in the shallow subsurface throughout Curiosity's traverse in Gale Crater. Craig is also working to develop new neutron and gamma-ray spectrometer instrumentation for use on future planetary science missions. Craig is also the director of research for the ASU NewSpace Initiative, which is working to partner academia with the private commercial space industry
