We apply and optimize advanced optical microscopy techniques such as super-resolution STED microscopy for deciphering molecular dynamics in so far unprecedented ways. Our main focus is molecular plasma membrane organization, especially following immune responses.
From 2014, as a Professor of Molecular Immunology, Christian's research has been focused on advanced microscopy for the investigation of immune cells and cellular plasma membrane organization.
