Research activity focused on: 1) Ecological aspects of photosynthesis related to structural and functional adaptations of plants in natural and polluted environments; 2) Ecological strategies in plants and macro algae in response to mono and multiple abiotic stress in the context of environmental change; 3) Ecological traits of autotrophs living in extreme environments, including Space; 4) Plant-soil relationships and sustainable methods to improve primary production.
