Bio
Neuroimaging, Psychiatry, and Genomics
Polygenicity and genetic heterogeneity pose great challenges for studying mechanisms - such as brain connectivity - underlying neurodevelopmental psychiatric conditions.
Genetic-first approaches have been implemented in neuroimaging studies to address this issue of heterogeneity. How psychiatric genomic risk with various polygenicity levels impact brain features remains largely unknown.
My work aims to understand the effect on the human brain of neurodevelopmental psychiatric disorders genomic risk factors with various levels of complexity: oligo-, multi-genic copy number variants (CNVs), and polygenic risk scores (PRS) as well as idiopathic psychiatric conditions and traits.
