Susannah Burrows

I'm an atmospheric physicist with cross-disciplinary interests. Currently, I work at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where I lead the v1 Coupled Biogeochemistry Simulation campaign for the US-Department of Energy's Energy Exascale Earth System Model (E3SM) project (2017-present). I currently serve as Deputy Group Lead for the Biogeochemical Cycles Group, charged with addressing a range of biogeochemistry-related science questions. Much of my personal research has involved modeling the emissions and transport of biological and biogenic aerosol particles in the atmosphere, including source estimation and their effects on clouds and climate. Under a 2018 DOE Early Career grant, I will be studying processes controlling variability in atmospheric ice nucleating particle concentrations.
