个人简介
I am currently full professor for Quantitative Empirical Research Methods at the Paris-Lodron-University in Salzburg, Austria. In 2002, I received my diploma in psychology of the University of Jena, Germany. In 2005, I finished my Doctoral dissertation on “Intergenerational transmission and projection processes of political attitudes within family”, also at the University of Jena. From 2002 until 2010, I worked in an interdisciplinary research group on “Discrimination and Tolerance in Intergroup Relations”, bringing together researchers from psychology (educational, developmental, social, general, & personality psychologists), political science, and communication science. Between 2007 and 2013 I held a position as assistant professor for empirical educational research at the University of Würzburg. Between 2013 and 2016 I held a visiting professorship for Empirical Adolescent and Educational Research at the Ludwigs-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany.
My major field of research concerns socialization processes during adolescence. I mostly focus on contextual (family and school) influences on adolescents’ political and academic development. In recent years, my research interest centered on students motivation and how developmental contexts may shape it, applying the expectancy x value framework.
