Present position: Professor in Physics at Aix-Marseille University, France (Exceptional Class Professor PR-CE2).
- Head of the group of “Biophysics of Metalloproteins (20 researchers, including 13 permanent positions) in the Lab of Bioenergetics and Protein Engineering (BIP-UMR 7281), CNRS, Marseille, France.
- Responsible of the Aix-Marseille EPR Platform, south site of the French EPR network (INFRANALYTICS-CNRS), and of the EPR-MRS site in the European MOSBRI network.

Research field: Structural and functional properties of complex enzymes involved in bioenergetic metabolisms of prokaryotes. Approaches based on advanced EPR techniques (ENDOR, ELDOR, ESEEM, HYSCORE), optical and magneto-optical spectroscopies, redox potentiometry, theoretical calculations.
Magnetic and structural properties of metal cofactors and radical intermediates in biological systems.
Dynamics and structural properties of flexible proteins and supramolecular assembly studied by spin labeling coupled to EPR. Development of new EPR probes.
173 publications in international journals.
