Before joining Georgia Tech, Dr. Gunter taught at Delft University of Technology (TU-Delft) in the Netherlands, where he was a member of the Department of Physics and Space Geodesy. His research activities cover all aspects of spacecraft missions and their applications, such as the study of current and future laser altimetry missions, the use of satellite data to monitor changes in polar ice caps, applications of satellite constellations/formations, and topics around motion orbit determination. He has been responsible for undergraduate and graduate courses on topics such as satellite orbit determination, Earth and planetary observations, scientific applications of GPS, and space system design.
