Dr. Brett Ratcliffe is the curator of the entomology research collections at the University of Nebraska State Museum and a professor in the Department of Entomology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is a Research Associate in Entomology at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History. Brett conducts research in the Systematics (Taxonomy, Biogeography, Natural History) of scarab beetles, principally those from the Neotropics, where he has collected annually for the past 4 decades. His current project is A biotic inventory of the Dynastinae (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) of Ecuador.
