Bio
Brent D. Cameron was born in Sioux City, IA, on December 29, 1970. He received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in biomedical engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, in 1994, 1996, and 2000, respectively.
From August 2000 to 2005, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Bioengineering, the University of Toledo, Toledo, OH. In 2006, he was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor with tenure, where he founded the Biomedical Optics Laboratory in the Department of Bioengineering. His current research interests include the use of optical methods for medical diagnostics and sensing including theoretical modeling and also specialized in optical polarization, fluorescence sensing, Raman spectroscopy, and Monte Carlo modeling of photon migration.
